Every parent instinctively knows the importance of children experiencing the creative joy of the holidays. They learn that from their infants' first smile and laugh, and in later years when they see and enjoy both children’s and adults' abilities to feel hope during Winter’s cold and dark days. And it is more than just a little holiday cheer. The magic of stories like Willie Wonka and and the Chocolate Factory creates emboldens neural pathways that can carry both children and adults from despair to hope. Not only that, the creative process gets a big boost that translates into valuable professional ideas in the future and that glint in the eye and broad smile that lights up social bonds. Ad a nice chunky red Santa and the skies are the limit.
The magic is that if you can even imagine a beautiful and kind village on a snowflake or piece of dust like the story of Whoville, then you can believe that just about anything you dream of is possible. This gives our dreams the very best chance of becoming true. If you think about that, the emotional process really is pretty magical.
This year the magic includes Wonkaville of Chocolate Factorey lore, and includes among other treats, a River of Chocolate, a horse drawn Christmas Carriage, Flower Centerpiece Art, Chocolate Oils at the Corner Candle Store, and of course there are Visits with Santa Clause.
What's the most unforgettable way to kick off the holiday cheer before Washingtonville's 15th Annual Christmas Parade?

But what about the GRINCH. Could he just come in and ruin it all? No way!!! Not with our Town. You see, the other part of dreaming up how to make good things happen is about how life's hard work and some encouragement, dirt and rocks can turn into gold. And the people of the Village of Washingtonville are REALLY good at that!
