WORLD CUP FINAL 3pm @ Amada's Kitchen Tomorrow Spain vs. Argentina

Right at our favorite MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, plans are still on to hold the FIFA Final World Cup at 3pm tomorrow (unless smoke from the California fires is heavy enough to cause a health risk).

Amada's Kitchen, at 6 Depot Street in Washingtonville, has big screens and specials to celebrate the day, including drinks at half price, so grab a friend or two and have a drink and Taco ($2) or Chicken Wings ($1).

This year's World Cup has been spectacular, with soccer stars manipulating the ball like magic, fans screaming and some looking at a friend and saying "How'd he DO that?"

Two of the best soccer players in recent years will play against each other: Lamine Yamal and Lionel Messi. At 19, Yamal has youth and endless energy going for him. But he came out of Spain's victory against France on the 14th with a strained hamstring. His coach says that the discomfort is manageable and won't impair his performance tomorrow. Argentina's star player, Lional Messi, knows about injuries.... at 39 he has been playing soccer for a very long time and has had plenty of injuries of his own. Messi is an icon of the sport and the Argentine Team has 4 World Cup Trophies already on its display shelf. Both teams have been "through the mill" to get to this final game.

I am brand new at watching the game of soccer, but if I were a betting person I would say that the outcome depends on how well Lamine's hamstring is doing. As an equestrian my limited experience with hamstring soreness is that it often "comes and goes" without lasting for long after some rest. If that is the case with Lamine, this game could be historic in terms of skills and excitement. So, come grab a drink and some wings and join others at Amada's Kitchen for the finale of this year's big Soccer Adventure.

So many special moments along the road to this final. This Momma Cat is "all in". But her little one is "all asleep".
