Wait! is that Ben Franklin, or Thomas Jefferson? A number of men made perfect images of what they described as the "Day After" the American Constitution was written. They said there was "much discussion and debate as the contents were being edited. True to form they continued that discussion about interesting constitutional issues.

Their presence AND the sharing of historical details really made the day so realistic that one had to wonder if they had taken a step back in time.

Attendees settled with their sun hats and umbrellas as the heat index climbed into the 90's and waited with baited breath while they wondered whether the thunder clouds approaching would cause cancellation of fireworks.

Several lovely ladies worked on sewing crafts, looking like they stepped right out of 1776.

The Band "Probable Cause" was great -Spicing up the early evening, via a POP-Western style had attendees tapping their toes and rocking with the sound.

Food trucks with both hot and cold refreshment were kept busy mellowing out the threatening skies...... but the storms largely slipped by uneventfully though for awhile those of us who retreated to air conditioned space were unsure whether multiple loud booms were thunder or fireworks.

The event was organized by the Village's Event Committee
