MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange invites the community back to campus for a night of film and free family fun as the College’s student Board of Activities (BOA) hosts its Movie on the Lawn on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. on the Alumni Green. This year’s feature presentation is the hit movie musical Wicked.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the film under the stars. Free popcorn will be available with additional concessions for purchase.

Movie on the Lawn marks the return of a cherished SUNY Orange tradition that was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is designed to reconnect everyone with the College by offering an evening that is both entertaining and welcoming.

“We’re thrilled to bring Movie on the Lawn back to the Alumni Green,” said BOA Advisor, Deymiss Caraballo-Bobea. “It’s about more than just watching a film—it’s about creating a space for friends, families, and neighbors to come together and bring the community back to the community college.”

In case of rain, the movie will be shown indoors at the Shepard Student Center.

There is no charge for admission, and all are welcome.
