The Best Overall Fire Company award went to Mechanicstown Fire Department of Middletown
Since the first July 4th celebration of 1824 parades have been a way to celebrate and honor. Volunteer firemen’s parades have become particularly prominent with each volunteer fire company taking immense pride in the festive appearance of its banners, machines, and uniforms. This September's 107th Orange County Volunteer Firefighters Parade, on a parade perfect day, honored the brave men and women of Orange County NY complete with bands and bagpipes and prizes for best marching and best overall appearance.
The Salisbury Mills Fire Department won “Firefighter’s Class C Second Place" and the Mountain Lodge Ladies Auxiliary won “Best Overall Auxiliary” and the Thelma B. Bondur Memorial Trophy for “Best Appearing Overall Auxiliary” sponsored by the Orange County Fireman’s Association Ladies Auxiliary. Congratulations to all and THANK YOU for your service.
