The Newburgh Enlarged City School District Summer STEM Program is in full swing at Black Rock Forest!
Students from grades 3-8 spend three full weeks in the forest learning from NECSD teachers and BRF educators. This program gives students an introduction to the world of environmental science and provides a hands-on approach to learning in the field. Students learn about macroinvertebrates, mammals, reptiles, birds, forest ecology, topography, geology, and BRF History.
They’re also curious about the many research projects actively being conducted in BRF. #environmentaleducation#summercamp#STEM#forestecology
