The Naomi Sewell Richardson Park Foundation Joins the Region-Wide-
Celebration of Generosity, May 21st, Hudson Valley Gives Day!
Washingtonville, NY – Get ready to give where you live! The Naomi Sewell Richardson Park
The Foundation is excited to announce its participation in Hudson Valley Gives, a 24-hour online day of giving. It takes place Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This year we are setting a goal of $1,500 to help support the Village develop the park infrastructure. Now that FEMA has given the park the go-ahead, the Village is moving forward with re-staking the park boundaries, the next step before laying out the plan. In the meantime, look for food trucks and possible future concerts –rumor has it there’s a portable bandstand available! This season, the plan is to begin to introduce to the community activities at the park.
Hudson Valley Gives brings together hundreds of local nonprofits for one joyful, high-energy day of community giving. It’s a chance for neighbors to come together and support the causes that make the Hudson Valley such a vibrant place to live. “We’re excited to be part of the celebration of generosity and grassroots support,” said Jean Galli, park volunteer and foundation head. “With help from the community, we can finally see the park become a reality. Ultimately, we’d like to put in gardens that attract butterflies, bees and humming birds to create a pollinator pathway near the center of the Village. Every donation helps move our mission forward.”
