County officials and Fearless! supporting the Clothesline Project to combat domestic violence
GOSHEN – October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and each year, Fearless! Hudson Valley, an organization that supports victims, displays its Clothesline Project at the Orange County Government Center in Goshen as a stark visual reminder of how it impact’s people’s lives.
The clothesline, with over 600 t-shirts, is hung at the government center now. The shirts have been created with messages from victims and their families. Fearless! wants people to walk the line, read the messages, hear the stories behind them, and increases awareness of domestic violence by encouraging people to break the silence.
