Blooming Grove Highway Superintendent Wayne Kirkpatrick reported several relatively minor issues from water runoff in the Town. Major flood prevention infrastructure work with FEMA funding after Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy likely prevented serious flooding during this round of storms. Superintendent Kirkpatrick told the Courier Journal on Monday,
"We had minor closures where our culverts could not handle the flow ot became obstructed due to the flow.
1. Mt Lodge Rd. between Perry Creek Rd. and Felter Hill Rd.
2. Mountain Lodge Rd. by Orchard Trail.
3. Woodcock Mt. Rd. between Cardinal Dr and Lucky Lane.
All roads were open with in 2.5 hrs .
We will be out tomorrow addressing small issues at these locations."
