Primary Elections Are THIS Tuesday - Know the Candidates!

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW

It may seem like November elections are a long time off. But if the candidates you like have a Primary Contest and don't win it their chance to win November's election is exceedingly slim... they would have to come up with a different party to run under or count on write-in votes. And even if you don't have a favorite that is in a primary, now is the time to start taking November's New York elections seriously. Local officials already ran for their position earlier this year, and have to do it a second time because of the reschedule to have local and federal elections on the same date in order to try to increase participation. So, here is your chance to get at least a first look at who is running for office in Orange County and whether he or she has a competitor under the same Party name (in which case you will need to get to the polls to vote in just TWO DAYS!)

We note that two November county elections are especially important and likely to be hotly contested - Senate District #42 and the office of County Sheriff.

Vote on Tuesday if you need to, and whether your vote is needed now or in November, consider the fairest way to learn the many aspects of who is the best choice for each position. Look up their records, stay tuned for any debates (which are one of the best ways to compare candidates), and ask friends who are knowledgeable and that you trust!. At this time in our Country's history your vote could not be more important.

Orange County Positions to be filled in the November Election. some of which will be challenged.
