Washingtonville was very sad to announce that they, as well as several other towns in the area, have canceled their parades planned for tomorrow's Memorial Day Monday. Forecasts are rarely 100% accurate, but this rain event could be heavy, and would raise the potential to cause serious damage and risk for participants with beautiful costumes, antique cars, music instruments, and all other kinds of fun parade accessories, as well as health and safety dangers.
BUT THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CARNIVAL run by the McDaniels Brothers is still on, today and tonight, and we already have pictures coming in of everyone having a fantastic time. CARNIVAL AT VERN ALLEN PARK ON AHERN BOULEVARD IS CURRENTLY STILL SCHEDULED TO CONTINUE TOMORROW, GIVEN THAT THE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO CLEAR IN THE.EARLY AFTERNOON. THE RIDES LOOK MODERATELY TERRIFYING, SO COME WITH YOUR COURAGE TURNED UP AND HAVE A GREAT TIME.
We also heard that their Sensory Sensitivity Event earlier yesterday was a big success!
Look for Washingtonvillians to ramp up the FESTIVITIES FOR 4H OF JULY EVEN MORE....STAY TUNED HERE FOR DETAILS!
