It was a near perfect day for Washingtonville to gather and honor those who serve. The Courier Jounrnal is gratefull for the photo provided by Walden Bank because the editor was out of town. A ceremony at St. Mary's Cemetery brought the community together, followed by a Parade led by Mayor Tom DeVinko and the Knights of Columbus, the Highway Department, Ambulance Corps, Boy Scouts, floats and marchers while residents cheered and shared stories of family members who serve and have served.
The Knights of Columbus were announced as the Grand Marshalls of this year's parade.
