A solo show of works by pastelist Vaune Sherin is on display in Orange Hall Gallery Loft , May 12 through June 17, 2026. Entitled Hudson Valley Inspiration
~ a solo show by pastelist Vaune Sherin of paintings inspired by the beauty
of the Hudson Valley, demonstrates the artist’s appreciation and admiration of the Hudson Valley region. All of her works are created using pastels which have established a signature look identifying them as hers.

Her artworks are particularly appealing because they are depictions of regional
landmarks or historical places or recreational areas as well as commonly seen plants as well as sunsets and sunrises and fields of flowers and out-of-the-way brooks as well as the Hudson River. She captures her audience with her way of focusing on interesting objects or highlighting colors.
Come and view her works during regular gallery hours Monday through Thursday -8am to 8pm and Friday - 8am to 5pm. The gallery is closed Memorial Day Weekend.
Summer hours commence June 8: Monday through Thursday 8am to 8pm. The college is closed on Fridays. Her show can also be viewed during the reception on May 17 between 2:30 and 4:30pm.
Vaune Sherin is an alumna of SUNY Orange. She continued her studies at SUNY
Binghamton finishing with a BA in art with a concentration in painting. Her focus is primarily on Plein Air painting. She is a member of the Middletown Art Group, the Goshen Art League, the Wallkill River Center for the Arts, and the Cornwall Art Alliance. She exhibits often with all of these groups. She is a prolific artist whose large body of works are all framed in made-to-order hardwood frames by her husband Mike. They reside in Maybrook, NY.
