Upper Delaware Scenic Parkland Receives New Administrator

BEACH LAKE, PA – The National Park Service has named Lindsey Kurnath as the next superintendent of Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River in New York and Pennsylvania.

Kurnath comes to Upper Delaware from Fire Island National Seashore, where she served as deputy superintendent since 2020. Prior to that, she was chief of administration and business management at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State.

She began her career with the National Park Service in 2010 as a management analyst in Washington, D.C.

“Lindsey knows how to bring people together to share common interests,” said Regional Park Service Director Gay Vietzke. “She values the experience and expertise of park staff and community members and inspires others to work toward common goals. Her experience and energy make her a great fit for the job.”
