Village of South Blooming Grove March 4, 2024 - Here we go again. Turbulence down the Prospect Road Hillside is reminescent of last year's Clovewood Development drainage issues. Clearcutting on steep slopes, made even more steep by many tons of fill, even with a large catch basin, this drainage appears to be no match for the lost absorption of the trees and underlying soil and ages of root structures. With at least 4 more days of Spring rains forecast for this week, residents in the area worry about the drainage causing even more serious repurcussions, especially for local wells and sewers. Fortunately the septic system on this project called Prospect Gardens, is not yet operational. But it is a clear warning of what could happen in the future, especially to residential water sources downstream. There are now 2 plans to release treated sewage into the Satterly Creek.

'Treated' sewage?
Into Satterly Creek.
Where body of water(s) does the Satterly Creek empty into?
Where else is this allowed in 600 plus home developments in southern Orange County?
