Orange County Legslature Votes To Sell Land to Dinosaur Park Developer

The Orange County Legislature Thursday voted without discussion on a proposal to sell county-owned property in the Town of Montgomery to the town for a little more than $2 million.

The town will, in turn, zone it for recreational and tourism purposes.

Specifically, a developer wants to build a dinosaur amusement park with life sized mechanical dinosaurs similar to one in New Jersey.

The park is seen as another tourism destination to supplement the likes of Legoland and the many craft wineries and breweries that have developed including Angry Orchard in the Walden area, making Orange County a destination venue for tourists and vacationers.
