New Art Show at Mindy Ross Galleries

GARDEN OF EDEN ART COLLECTION AT MINDY ROSS GALLERIES
The Mindy Ross Gallery and Lobby are the venues of two complementary art shows focusing on the natural and wild beauty plantlife in Central American countries Costa, Rica, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, juxtaposed with a wonderfully creative variety of sculpted plant forms which explore ways flora might grow in specialized environs.
Internationally recognized photographer Nick Zungoli is touring his “In the Garden of Eden" exhibit and the Mindy Ross Gallery is the present “Stop.” A variety of colorful, sculpted, imagined plants by local sculptor Rick Weber are featured in the glass vitrine cases within the domain of the Mindy Ross Gallery.
Included in the “Gestures: 3D works in clay” exhibit are Rick Weber’s carved and altered hand-formed spheres. “In the Garden of Eden" exhibit expresses, Zungoli’s core belief that the Earth itself isthe true Garden of Eden. Weber searches for ways to combine his love of art with a love of the natural world.
“In the Garden of Eden” is on exhibit October 16 through January 27, 2027. “Gestures: 3D works in clay” which has been on view since August 27 continues through January 27th as well.
The reception for the shows is slated for Friday, October 30 from 6 to 8pm. Music during the reception will be provided by classical guitarist Joy Zelada who came to the United States from Peru when he was a boy. Come and enjoy a lovely evening while meeting the artists and musician and viewing the artworks.
The art show and reception are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday - 8am to 9pm and Friday - 8am to 6pm.
The Mindy Ross Gallery is located in Kaplan Hall at 73 First St., Newburgh where free and secure parking is available in the college’s garage.
