GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus is off to Washington, DC for a conference of the National Association of County Executives and he plans to discuss a laundry list of topics of interest to all corners of the nation.
Neuhaus said there are a number of front burner issues to be addressed.
“We are going to talk about active shooter incidents and how we can
protect our schools, our public locations, our businesses,” he said. Other items will involve federal issues that impact localities – parks preservation, community development, tackling the opioid crisis and how funding will be distributed.
Neuhaus hopes to get answers to some of the burning questions from federal officials who will be at the conference.
