MONELL FD FILLS VERN ALLEN PARK WITH CAR SHOW - TRUCK SHOW - BIKE SHOW

ree

Washingtonville -Participants in the Annual Monell Engine Company Car, Truck & Bike show must have been out polishing their antique vehicles for weeks. The reds were a blazing fire engine red, and the blue ones were mostly very deep ocean blue. A few bright gold and orange cars really cought the eye, especially one with flame design all along its sides. A few vividly black cars and bikes shone like black diamonds!

Trophies were given out by the dozens, so plenty of attendees went home with big smiles on their faces. The Vern Allen fields were very nearly packed to the hilt. People brought their lawn chairs and had a grand time telling old car stories and comparing notes, while friends cheered those receiving trophies.

One thing about car shows is that most of the people attending them have done these annual shows for many years, and they know most of the other attendees. So, rather than a celebration by mostly strangers, they are tight knit friends and rally in a very friendly family-type atmosphere.
