Cornwall Dragons at Northeast Regional Track in High Gear at Wappingers Falls

On Saturday, Dragon Cross Country was in action in the NE regional competition at Bowdoin parks in Wappingers Falls. It's known as a very difficult course, and yesterday it was extra tough given the mud factor.

Dragon, Liv Cibirka is a senior so this was her final XC run and I had the privilege of walking up the hill (the second half of it) from the start/finish to the parking area after the race was over so I'm claiming a PR for keeping up with her (and her mom). Great job by all of them - the best runners in NY/NJ/PA/CT/VT/NH/MA/ME were all there and the Dragons did REALLY amazing work.

Not being a Track follower myself, and the Nike lists of results being extremely complicated, especially considering the numbers participating. anyone who is interested in the overall results would be best served from the Nike regional results page shown below:
Much as we love our local competitors, the apparent overall star of the day was runner Lawrenceville junior Blair Bartlett, who claimed the Nike Northeast Regional title with a time of 17:00 —the fastest time ever recorded by a New Jersey girls runner at Bowdoin Park.

Obviously EVERY runner in this extremely difficult race is a WINNER in our book,
Nike clarifies that this was a "Regional Championship and not a Track Meet".
The real results are in the photos by Scott Cavalari, which show the depth of
heart and body being put to the test by these talented young athletes!.
That being said, Cornwall and Monroe-Woodbury Girls 5k are shown on the results grid as follows, 9 and 17 of over 30 participating teams (bearing in mind that individual participants are in the thousands).
Again, please check the URL above for a full grid of results per category.
