TEL AVIV – US Senator Charles Schumer and a bipartisan delegation of lawmakers in Tel Aviv had to take cover in a bomb shelter as Hamas continued their bombing. Schumer said the rocket attack “shows you what Israelis have to go through. We must provide Israel with the support required to defend itself.” The Senate majority leader said th e “bipartisan Senate delegation to Israel had good, productive meetings with Israeli leaders. The U.S. stands with the people of Israel. I’ll lead the effort in the U.S. Senate to provide Israel with the support required to defend itself from this monstrous attack.”
