Brian Maher Visits Washingtonville's Guilty Pleasures, Promotes Area Business & Tastes the Yummy Treats

Assemblyman Brian Maher made one of his frequent visits to Washingtonville to support businesses in the Village Center. Owners of Guilty Pleasures Cheesecakes and more, Guilty Pleasures sweet shop, is right across from McLaughlin Square, about as central to the Village as one can get, and within a stone's throw of three other very popular Central Village shops: F&J's Pizzeria, Printing Plus, and Martelli's Soccer Shop.

Patrick and Justine Maiorino, gave him' 'literally' a taste of the goods that include just about every baked and candy guilty pleasure you could think of, including shelves of 40's, 50's and 60's era candies that make many locals have a deja vue to being about 5 years old themselves and stopping at a local Brooklyn candy shop.

There were plenty of cheesecakes, cookies, chocolate cake and candies, but the favorite of the day? You guessed it, "Chocolate Covered Strawberries". In sum, these guys do treats on a whole new level (oh, and they do yummy soups too).

As leaders of the Village's Community Events Committee Program they are tireless in their work to promote the best of business and special events in 'the Ville', including several this past year that brought thousands for its annual parades, Friday Night gatherings at The Lot, Spooktacular Halloween and Independence Day Fireworks events along with, of course, numerous events for the Christmas Holiday. The list is growing of event participants (visiting vendors as well as local Village Shops).

Having Assemblyman Maher visit the store again, and helping publicize the many shops in the Village Center made Valentine's Day even more special for the Maiorinos, and of course having him visit was a feather in the Village's cap. His going out of his way to participat in everything Washingtonville has been exceptional.
