UPDATE: Motorcycle Accident With Fatality Closes Route 94 on Thursday Afternoon

UPDATE 11:06 - It was a "motorcycle", not a bicycle. There were two riders.

One of the riders was killed, the other was airlifted. I am still waiting on more details.

Blooming Grove - Road Closed signs barricaded traffic at the scene of a tragedy on Thursday afternoon. Motorcycle parts, an upsidedown Kawasaki wheel, and a helmet were strewn across Route 94 in front of the Red Barn between Farmingdale and Old Dominion Roads, and investigative police had ROAD CLOSED signs and a line of vehicles of police and investigators from Round Hill Road to Farmingdale, almost from barricade to barricade. The road was reopened at about 5:30 pm.

The cause is not known yet. The community is praying for the rider who was

airlifted.
