11:30 AM – Creative Writers Group
An adult group where new members are always welcome. Please register via the library’s online calendar. A virtual option can also be made available by calling 845-534-8282.
6:00 PM – Dog Tales
For grades K-12. Read independently to a furry friend from Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause. Please register via the library’s online calendar for a 15-minute time slot of your choice – 6:00, 6:15, 6:30 or 6:45. Registration is required and opens one week prior to the program.

9:30 or 10:30 AM – Family Story Time
Enjoy a story time at the library with your whole family. Please register your child(ren) via the library’s online calendar. Registration opens one week prior to the program.
WEDNESDAY 8/2/23
2:30 PM – Farmers’ Market Story Time
Join us on the Town Hall lawn for stories, puppets, songs, fun, and giggles! Weather permitting. This is a drop-in event – no registration required.
4:00 PM – Member’s Choice Book Group
Book Pick: Master Slave Husband Wife by Ilyon Woo.
Join our Member’s Choice Book Club for a lively discussion on titles chosen by the group. eBooks and eAudios are available on Libby; hard copies are available to pick up at the library. A hybrid event – either drop in to enjoy in person, or register via the library’s online calendar to receive a Zoom link on the day of the meeting.
4:30 PM – ChatterBooks Book Group
Book Pick: If I Built a Car by Chris Van Dusen.
For grades K-2nd. Register in person when you pick up a copy of the book at the library.
6:30 PM – PJ Story Time
Put on your PJs and join us for a special evening story time at the library. All ages are welcome. In-person, outside, weather permitting. This is a drop-in event – no registration required.

6:30 PM – All Together Fun & Games Finale
Celebrate the end of a successful Summer Reading Program with this night of fun for the whole family. We’ll have lots of different games and activities outside on the library portico for everyone to enjoy. This is a drop-in event – no registration required.
FRIDAY 8/4/23
10:30 AM – Teddy Bear Picnic with Barnaby Benjamin Bear
Bring a blanket, snack and your favorite teddy bear (or snuggle friend) and enjoy a live reading by author Loretta Gould. Popular local artist Paul Gould will sketch along for everyone to see while she reads – and you can sketch along on your own too! All sketching materials provided. This is a drop-in event – no registration required.
6:00 PM – Teen Photography Contest Submissions Due
For grade 6-12 only. One winner will be chosen on August 9. The prize is a $25 Amazon gift card. Please go to the library website for full contest rules.
