Orange County Land Trust Celebrates 30 Years at 2023 Benefit Reception

Mountainville, NY- The Orange County Land Trust will celebrate its 30 year anniversary at their upcoming benefit reception on Thursday, June 15th from 6-9 pm at the Falkirk Estate & Country Club in Central Valley. The event’s honorees are Walden Savings Bank and The Lenape Center.
Walden Savings Bank will be honored for helping to launch OCLT’s historic Sugar Loaf Mountain project. During the initial stages of the project, the bank pledged a loan making it possible for OCLT to embark on an ambitious fundraising campaign. This vital seed funding enabled the land trust to move forward on purchasing the 300-acre Sugar Loaf Mountain property with significant momentum.
The Lenape Center will also be recognized for furthering their vision of Lenapehoking, the Lenape homeland through community, culture, and the arts; into Orange County and the Hudson Valley region. The benefit chairs are Dr. Richard and Jo Marvel Hull.
Individual tickets are $200 each and can be purchased online at www.oclt.org or by calling 845-534-3690, x10. Event sponsorships and advertising opportunities are also available for purchase. The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, May 31st. OCLT will also host an online auction for those unable to attend the event, but wish to support the Land Trust’s mission. The auction will be accessible from the Land Trust’s website.
