Orange County's Brookfields Farm Horses Bring Home a Wagon Full of Flashy Ribbons

Goshen - Those who know Kay O'Hanlon Myruski know that if they don't hear or see anything from or about her for awhile, she must be working on something BIG.

Well, this was the week it showed, and in a big way with her working horses in harness at the Ulster County Fair. Her team "Penny and Peanut" brought home ribbons galore. And in typical fashion Kay gave a big "Thank you" to each of them.

"Yesterday Penny and Peanut took Draft Horse Team Champion and Peanut was Reserve Halter Champion. This led us to receive the High Point Draft Driver Championship. I Can’t thank Penny and Peanut enough for their stellar performances!"

Is Orange County still Horse Country? You bet it is, with the Fair continuing and local equestrians showing at the Fair as well as numerous equestrian events right here at home.

Brookfields Farm is also one of the earliest farms in the County to offer local sales of meat from their herd of organically raised cattle.
