GOSHEN – Orange County has secured a $55,000 state grant to hire a firm to conduct a feasibility study into building a conference center.
Orange County Economic Development Director Steven Gross took the officials on a multi-day tour of the county’s locations and opportunities. He told the county legislature’s oversight committee on Wednesday they were impressed.
“They were blown away when they saw Orange County,” he said. “They told us we are going to get a positive finding in the next month or two when they complete the study. They are trying to figure out where and how large the facility should be.”
Gross and county Tourism Director Amanda Dana showed the consultants sites in all corners of the county.
