Orange County may be teaming up with some of its municipalities to take advantage of existing water infrastructure for future economic development.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus pointed to the City of Middletown’s extensive water system as a potential foundation.
“We want to combine it and used Middletown’s existing infrastructure and let’s look at some of the capabilities that are available in the Indego property that I signed an agreement with Middletown a few years ago, and let’s see if it can provide water, for example, on that 17M corridor where you have Middletown leading into Wawayanda and Goshen,” he said.
That would be a great area for future economic development, Neuhaus said.
